Years Riding:

1985 to now. It was the Mountain Dew Jolt Cola era.

Riding Experience

I started dirt jumping and learning tricks in 1985 during the neon era. I rode everyday with a lot of locals in OKC like Terris Renfro and JC Stacy, but was never really a part of a team. I spent a lot of time jumping at Suicide hills. There were also a couple of local quarter pipes that I rode whenever I could. The rest of the time I spent learning flatland tricks in the Almonte theater parking lot. In the winter time I would ride flat indoors at Skatearama.

Favorite Bike & Trick

Hoffman Bikes Rhythm. X-up Wall Ride

Favorite Music, Bands and/or Cultural References:

As far as music goes, I started out riding to Run DMC and LL Cool J. I also listened to a lot of D.R.I, Motörhead and Dio in the early days.

Accomplishments:

I was the Art/Marketing Director & Videographer at Hoffman Bikes from 1992 – 2005. I was responsible for all of the bike and product graphics, magazine ads and marketing materials.

During that time I also made three team videos with Mat, “Until Monkeys Fly”, “Testimony”, “HB Euro Trip” and 18+ hours of original BMX programming related to Mat Hoffmans Bicycle Stunt Series, The Crazy Freakin’ Biker Series (CFB), Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX and the X-Games for television broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC. I never actually competed in a contest, but did get to travel all over the United States and Europe riding and filming with friends.
