Blaine Lippe

Years Riding: 1980-1990

Riding Experience:

I started riding after my cousin Jon Lippe told me about bicycle freestyle and seeing his new pink Skyway. I Practiced literally day and night, riding all over Oklahoma City with friends Chris Scarberry and Joe MacHenry.

We heard about competitions at the National Guard Armory from our buddies The Fly Boys, shortly thereafter we all started competing.

I was 14 at the time and was a pretty good flatland rider, unfortunately I had to compete against my best friend Chris. We eventually made more friends from these competitions and started a crew called the Radical Renegades, with some of the best flatland and ramp riders in Oklahoma City.

I won the 14 -15 year old flatland intermediate division and was one of the first to go expert, which thankfully freed up the Intermediate for Chris. My first time to lose was as an expert when a monster rider decided to enter, Park Carter was a whole another level lol

I had an amazing time and made a lot of lifelong friends. The AFA and later ABA competitions were a true highlight of my life. Freestyling will always be in my blood and God bless all of those guys in their future endeavors.
